What materials are best for high-wear sleeves?

Steel 4140 is excellent for high-wear sleeves. Bronze offers superior wear resistance for sliding applications. For extreme wear, tungsten carbide or surface-hardened steel is recommended. Material choice depends on wear type and contact surface.

Can you manufacture sleeves with custom wall thickness?

Yes. Custom wall thickness is available from thin 0.5mm walls to heavy-duty sleeves. Wall thickness is engineered based on load requirements, bore diameter, and operating conditions.

What is the typical lead time for custom sleeves?

Single-off custom sleeves are typically completed within 1–2 weeks from quote approval. Production runs of 100+ units are usually completed within 2–3 weeks.

Can you produce sleeves with internal threads or grooves?

Yes. Sleeves with internal threads, grooves, splines, and other internal features are standard. We can manufacture complex internal geometry on sleeves of any size.

Do you offer surface treatments for corrosion resistance?

Yes. Surface treatments include passivation for stainless steel, electroplating, anodising for aluminium, and protective coatings. Finish options quoted separately based on material and application.
