What materials are best for high-temperature discs?
Inconel is the best choice for extreme high-temperature discs — excellent strength and thermal stability. Steel 4140 is suitable for general high-temperature applications. Stainless steel 316 or 17-4 PH offer corrosion resistance with good temperature performance.
Can you manufacture discs with custom hole patterns?
Yes. Custom hole patterns, bolt hole layouts, and any geometric features are engineered to your specifications. Drilling, milling, and grinding of custom patterns is standard.
What is the typical lead time for custom discs?
Single-off custom discs are typically completed within 1–2 weeks from quote approval. Production runs of 100+ units are usually completed within 2–3 weeks.
Can you produce discs with precise thickness tolerances?
Yes. Thickness tolerances of ±0.05mm or tighter are achievable on disc production. Grinding is used to achieve final dimensional accuracy and flatness.
Do you offer surface grinding for flatness?
Yes. Surface grinding for flatness and final thickness tolerance is a standard finishing process. Discs can be ground to achieve flatness within 0.05mm total indicated runout.
